About the Old Timers Fete

The Old Timers Fete is a much-loved community event with a proud history spanning over 50 years. Held on the second weekend in August each year, it has grown from a small local gathering into a vibrant celebration that brings together generations of families, friends, and visitors.

It’s a fun-filled day for the whole family, featuring amazing bargains on crafts, books, cakes, plants and more, along with a popular auction, delicious food, and live entertainment throughout the day.

My favourite thing about Old Timers Fete is:

Community coming together

At its heart, the fete is about community spirit—locals supporting locals. Run with the support of dedicated volunteers, community groups, and local businesses, the event continues to thrive thanks to the generosity and involvement of those who help keep this special tradition alive.

Whether you’ve been attending for years or visiting for the first time, the Old Timers Fete remains a highlight of the community calendar and a great day out for all ages.

My favourite thing about Old Timers Fete is:

It’s not just about stalls, food, or activities — it’s about connection, and community.
